Banner Homes opens its doors at Pinehurst Court, Beaconsfield

The wait was finally over for eager purchasers in Beaconsfield when Banner Homes officially opened its latest development Pinehurst Court, Station Road, Beaconsfield last week. Such has been the demand for these stunning apartments in this Buckinghamshire town, that 5 have already been sold off plan prior to the launch.

The show apartment was officially opened by Linda Petrons, Partnership Fundraiser at Iain Rennie Hospice at Home. Banner Homes have sponsored Iain Rennie Hospice at Home’s 25th Anniversary Celebrations at West Wycombe Park on 4th September 2010.

Comments Shelley West, Sales Director for Banner Homes Central, “Purchasers will not be disappointed with the quality of the apartments at Pinehurst Court. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and quality of build and this is certainly demonstrated at this development.

“I am delighted that Linda was able to officially open our show apartment and we are pleased to support such a worthy charity in the Chilterns area.”

Linda Petrons, Iain Rennie Hospice at Home comments, “I am thrilled to officially open this stunning development which will be a great addition to the Beaconsfield area. We are also very grateful to Banner Homes for their sponsorship of the 25th Anniversary Celebrations. Our Hospice at Home service is offered to patients and families free of charge. It costs £4.8 million to provide this service, but less than 10% of this is funded by local Primary Care Trusts. We work hard to raise the balance, relying on donations from companies such as Banner Homes, fundraising events, legacies and the overwhelming support we receive from our local community.”

Pinehurst Court is a stunning, gated development of 14, two bedroom apartments within the quintessentially English town of Beaconsfield but with the modern amenities of the ‘New Town’ on the doorstep. Nestled within the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this sought-after town offers the best of both worlds: picturesque rural countryside, enviably placed just 25 miles from the capital.

Each apartment features two bedrooms both with built in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom to the master bedroom. There is also a professionally designed contemporary kitchen with built in fridge freezer, microwave oven or combination microwave oven, dishwasher and washer dryer. The apartments feature large spacious living rooms with French doors leading to a patio or balcony, making the living space light and airy. Some apartments also have a separate study which could also be used as a dining room depending on your requirements and a utility room.

The apartments are set within landscaped grounds which provide an attractive setting but don’t have the upkeep so many purchasers wish to leave behind. However for those still keen to maintain their own garden, some apartments have a private garden. Each apartment will also benefit from two parking spaces and some to a car port.

Pinehurst Court is perfect for those who want to ‘lock up and leave’, or for people who want all of the benefits of a brand new apartment without the worry of modernising or maintaining an older property.

The apartments are perfectly positioned halfway between the picturesque ‘Old Town’ and the modern ‘New Town’ of Beaconsfield, both of which boast their own unique character and charm. The ‘Old Town’ is steeped in history and features boutique shops, traditional tea rooms, pubs, wine bars and restaurants that serve everything from Italian to Chinese cuisine. In addition, there’s also a weekly market and monthly farmers’ market where you can buy a wide range of freshly grown produce. The ‘New Town’ is home to the majority of Beaconsfield’s shops which include Waitrose, Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Sainsburys, designer clothes boutiques, Space NK and plenty of cafés where you can enjoy alfresco dining.

For a wider choice of shops, Windsor, High Wycombe and Watford are all less than an hour’s drive away. Also nearby are many quaint villages such as Coleshill, old Amersham and Great Missenden, each of which offers a great selection of pubs, local shops and picturesque leafy countryside.

Beaconsfield is fortunate to have a rich social and cultural calendar with both arts and horticultural activities on offer. There is a local tennis club, School of Lawn Tennis, and a thriving cricket club, as well as rugby and football clubs with their own grounds. There is also a David Lloyd Health Club in nearby Woburn Green, and an Odeon cinema in nearby Gerrards Cross. Beaconsfield’s proximity to London also means that you have an unlimited choice of shopping, leisure and entertainment just a train ride away. An excellent rail service will deliver you to London Marylebone in approximately 30 minutes and if you prefer to drive, the M40 and M25 are both easily accessible. International travel is similarly well served with London Heathrow Airport just 17 miles away. With so much on its doorstep, you’ll find Pinehurst Court the ideal choice for those who want the advantages and lifestyle of the country, yet also to be within easy reach of the city.

Prices at Pinehurst Court start from £650,000.  The show apartment will be open Thursday through to Monday from 10am to 5pm. Happy purchasers buy again at The Lilies

Banner Homes prides itself on delivering the best homes possible. So when a purchaser buys a second home from them, they know they have got it right. This is just the case with Matt Sellwood who has just bought a two bedroom terraced home with his girlfriend Lorraine Stratford at Banner Homes’ development The Lilies in Twyford near Reading.

Comments Matt; “Seven years ago I was a first time buyer looking for an apartment and decided that Banner Homes’ development Victoria Place in the centre of Reading was just what I was looking for. I was very impressed with the quality of the apartment and the finish and have spent many happy years there.

“Lorraine and I decided that it was time to move home and get somewhere bigger and felt that Twyford was the best location for us. It is close to Reading to take advantage of all the city has to offer and has excellent transport links, but has the village atmosphere that we are both after. I work from home as an environmental consultant but my office in based in Southampton so I spend a great deal of time on the road. Lorraine is a financial advisor so also spends a great deal of time travelling so the location is perfect for us.

“We decided to have a drive around and saw that Banner Homes were building its new development in the village so decided to take a look. As soon as I saw that the development was Banner Homes I knew that it would have a good specification and the product would be built to a high standard. We were also attracted by the fact that it is a small development, so there will be a sense of community but we are not on top of each other. We visited the show home and were very impressed with the design and layout. After studying the homes available and ruling out a three bedroom home, we decided to make an offer on a two bedroom end of terraced home. It is perfect for us as provides the additional room we need and has a nice rear garden ideal for barbecues, as well as being more private as it is end of terrace.”

Matt and Lorraine are selling their apartment through Banner Homes Premier Part Exchange scheme. Continues Matt, “We decided to use the part exchange scheme as it takes away the worry of selling our own property and makes the whole process much less stressful. We now have no worries about completion dates being different and having to find somewhere else to live. Banner Homes handles the whole process for us and we will not complete on our old home until our new home is ready for us to move into.”

The Lilies is an exclusive collection of 15 two, three, four and five bedroom high quality homes located close to fields, farmland and woodlands. Already 70% of the development has been sold so those still interested in buying should visit before it is too late!

The day to day amenities of the village of Ruscombe are only a short stroll away from The Lilies and Twyford, which can be reached almost as easily as Ruscombe, features local shops and a Waitrose supermarket along with other essentials nestled between Tudor buildings and quaint cottages on the banks of the River Loddon.

Twyford’s King’s Arms coaching inn was once an important meeting place on the Bath Road. Nowadays the village is as highly regarded for its excellent choice of tempting cafés, traditional pubs and restaurants to appeal to all tastes. It’s still a fantastic place for good food, drink and company.

With the towns of Reading and Maidenhead just six and eight miles away respectively, you’ll never be short of exciting ways to spend your days or lively nights out either. The Oracle Shopping Centre in Reading, for example, offers a great choice of shopping and entertainment, including department stores, numerous restaurants and a multiplex cinema.

The A4, M4, M40, M3 and M25 are all within easy reach, ensuring getting out and about is never a problem and making The Lilies an ideal base for the daily commute. Twyford train station is less than a mile away from The Lilies and offers frequent services to London Paddington, with a direct journey taking around 30 minutes. Reading and Henley-on-Thames are also a short direct train journey away.

Ruscombe and Twyford are also home to a number of reputable schools, including The Piggott Secondary School and Polehampton Infants and Junior School, which is just a short walk from The Lilies. There’s also a popular youth centre and recreation ground within walking distance; the excellent facilities in a relaxed, scenic area making The Lilies a fantastic place to raise a family.

Prices start from £350,000 for the final three bedroom home; £510,000 for four bedroom home and from £625,000 for five bedroom homes. The showhome is open Thursday through to Monday from 10am to 5pm.
