Snowmen, Christmas trees and the twinkling of Santa’s sleigh in the night time sky are just some of the pictures drawn by students at Westgate Primary School in Warwick, for a Christmas competition held by award winning property developer Banner Homes.
Pupils in both the Infants and Juniors were asked to draw a picture of their dream home in a Christmas setting, allowing the children’s imaginations to run riot. Banner Homes received an overwhelming response and had pictures ranging from colourful mansions to country cottages encapsulated in snow.
After much deliberation, one winner and two runners-up from both the Infants and Juniors were chosen. The winners and runners-up were: Josh, year 1; Hannah, year 1; Georgina, year 2; Brady, year 3; Nadya, year 4 and Megan, year 5. The winners received a £40 voucher whilst the runners up received a £15 voucher or a Christmas cuddly toy. All the winning and runners-up entries will be displayed in Banner Homes’ sales office at Myton Park, which is located a few minutes down the road from Westgate Primary school.
Annette Thompson, Sales Manager for Banner Homes Midlands says; “We are overwhelmed by the huge amount of time and effort each child has put into their entry. Choosing a winner was extremely difficult and the competition exposed a lot of talent from the children. We had a great time looking at the competition entries and would like to thank the teaching staff for their support and encouragement. We are looking forward to displaying the entries in our sales office over the Christmas period.”
Phase one at Myton Park will comprise of three and four bedroom properties designed in semi-detached and detached style, ranging from two to three storeys in height.
The show home at Myton Park is open daily from 10am to 5pm with the first phase of homes now available to purchase. Prices start from £350,000. Editors Notes: Company Information
Banner Homes is one of the country’s leading independent home builders. The business started in the mid 1970s with activities focused around south Buckinghamshire. Since then the business has grown to encompass three regional operational centres in the Midlands, the South West and the South East of England. The company delivered turnover in excess of £120m in the year to May 2007 and is forecasting a substantial increase in 2008.
The company has particular skills in creating new homes for the over 55’s and has won coveted ‘What House? awards’ for many of its developments. The current portfolio of new homes under construction spans over forty developments with homes either available, or forthcoming, at prices ranging from £100,000 to in excess of £4m.
Banner has secured its strong position in the home building industry with its long history of controlling land in the best locations across central and southern England. It has substantial strategic land holdings and continues to purchase immediate and longer term development sites through each of its three regional offices. The business is innovative in design and specification, whilst being discerning in the adoption of new trends. There is a keen focus on anticipating, identifying and satisfying customers’ demands in location, design and the delivery of each new home. Designs may be contemporary or classical depending on the market, but the approach to build quality and service are reassuringly traditional. Banner has been at the forefront of integrating new technologies into the fabric of mainstream housing for many years. Cat 5 cabling, digital television and integrated hi-fi are realities for many Banner purchasers across all price ranges and not just for the privileged few. This ethos runs throughout the development of each new site and can be seen in the increasing use of basements in the design of many new homes, to maximise space and value for each new purchaser. Privately owned (75% by the Prowting Family and 25% by management), Banner offers the long term commitment of its Directors to create individually designed and expertly crafted new homes for the entire spectrum of home buyers across central and southern England.
