Purchase Procedures - Buying your new Banner home

We make buying a new Banner home as hassle-free as possible. Experienced Sales Advisors are on hand at our sales centres and show homes to help with the reservation process and answer any questions you may have.

If you’d like to enquire about the availability of one of our homes when our developments are closed, or if you have any specific questions, then please contact our Sales Department on 01628 536229 or email sales@bannerhomes.co.uk

Reserving your home

Your Sales Advisor will go through the reservation paperwork with you, and you’ll be asked for a deposit to secure your new home.

To complete your reservation we will need:

  • Details of your appointed solicitor.
  • Details of your appointed selling agent and details of the sale relating to your property.
  • Information regarding your proposed financial arrangements. If you need help arranging a mortgage, we have a specialist who can assist before your reservation is processed to avoid problems later on.
  • A non-refundable reservation deposit (the amount of which may vary and will be confirmed by your Sales Advisor).
  • You will also be required to sign a copy of our Reservation Confirmation and to complete our Customer Profile form.

After reservation

  • We’ll give you a Reservation Manual designed to make your move as easy as possible.
  • A letter will be sent to you providing complete details relating to your purchase.
  • A contract will usually be issued to your solicitors within 48 hours of reservation. If this is not possible for any reason, your solicitors will be notified accordingly. To avoid delays, Banner Homes will also request the local search for you. The cost of this will be charged to you on legal completion.
  • A contractual exchange will usually be required within 28 days of the issue of contracts.
  • Our Quality Manager will liaise with you regarding the Demonstration and Inspection Meeting at your new home, usually held 1-2 weeks prior to occupation.
  • You will be required to provide us with sight of your passport or driving licence and confirmation of your current address in the form of a utility bill or bank statement before exchange of contracts. We are required by law to retain photocopies of these documents under Prevention of Money Laundering legislation.
