A rural haven in the middle of the South Downs National Park, with everything you need in easy reach.

Rotherfield Place is nestled in the delightful village of Sheet, a quintessentially English village in an area of outstanding natural beauty in the heart of Hampshire.

Sheet has a choice of cosy pubs, a church and a welcoming community all within the South Downs National Park. There is rolling countryside and enchanting woodland on all sides, ideal for country walks or bike rides.

There is even an annual duck race on the River Rother after which the development was named.

The ancient market town of Petersfield, just over a mile away, provides a range of shops for fashion and essentials including The Rams Walk shopping arcade, a Marks & Spencer Simply Food, a Waitrose and Tesco supermarket.

There are also many good restaurants, wine bars, cafes and boutiques to visit in the town centre. The town square comes alive for the twice weekly markets and the farmers market on the first Sunday of every month. The historic City of Chichester is easily accessible and ideal for trips to the theatre, art galleries and the harbour. For more extensive shopping and leisure facilities, the well known Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth, or alternatively Winchester are each around 20 miles away.

There are a number of outstanding state and independent schools close to Rotherfield Place to choose from, including Churcher’s College, Bedales School and Ditcham Park School. The area provides a range of recreational activities with the Taro Leisure Centre, Petersfield Golf Club, Rugby Club and Football Club all very nearby. Also on offer is sailing from Chichester Marina, an even wider choice of watersports at Portsmouth, horse racing at Fontwell, and horse or motor racing at the renowned Goodwood.

Rotherfield Place is ideally situated for road travel, with the nearby A3 offering fast links into London and to the South coast. The mainline railway station in nearby Petersfield offers a regular and direct train service to London Waterloo in little over an hour or to Portsmouth in just over half an hour. The bus stop on the doorstep of Rotherfield Place can take you to Petersfield train station in less than five minutes or to Midhurst in around half an hour. It offers good connections with other villages in the surrounding area too.
